Accounting
What this stage asks of you
The first exam tests whether you can take transactions through double entry to a complete set of financial statements, accurately and under time pressure.
What you must be able to do
- Record transactions correctly and prepare a trial balance
- Make period-end adjustments for accruals, prepayments, depreciation and irrecoverable debts
- Prepare a statement of profit or loss and a statement of financial position

- Stage 2 · Evidence and judgement
Assurance
What this stage asks of you
Assurance moves you from recording to checking: why assurance exists, how risk is assessed, what evidence is enough, and what you may conclude from it.
What you must be able to do
- Explain the purpose of assurance and the ethical duties that come with it
- Assess risk and design procedures that produce reliable evidence
- Document your work so another person can follow your reasoning

- Stage 3 · The business context
Business, Technology and Finance
What this stage asks of you
This exam asks how organisations are structured, funded and governed, and how technology and finance functions support the decisions they take.
What you must be able to do
- Describe business structures, governance, ethics and sustainability duties
- Explain how businesses are financed and how performance is measured
- Relate data and technology to the work of a finance function

Written notes in every module
Original notes and a tutor-voice class written in-house, never copied from an awarding body or publisher.
A practical task in every module
Something you do, not only something you read: a working task, a dataset, a scenario or a coding challenge.
A marked assignment in every module
Marked against a published rubric at 80 per cent, with three attempts and written feedback.
At least four mock questions per module
Every question carries an explained answer, so a wrong choice teaches you something.
Rights checked before publication
Each programme carries a rights record naming Super Digital Solutions Limited as the owner of the material.
A verifiable completion record
Finish the work and the record can be checked by anyone you show it to, with your own certificate name on it.
Where you sit the exam, and who charges. ACA exams are booked with ICAEW and sat through ICAEW. You register as an ICAEW student and pay ICAEW's registration, annual and exam fees directly to them. Those fees are separate from anything you pay Mai Studies. A training agreement with an authorised employer is arranged with ICAEW, not with us.
