Terms of Service

You must create an account to enrol. You are responsible for the accuracy of your details, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. Accounts are personal to you and must not be shared. Each learner is issued a unique Mai Studies student number used on progress records and certificates.

Free programmes are offered at our discretion and may be withdrawn or changed. The pricing published on the site at the time of purchase is authoritative and we will give at least 30 days' notice of price changes to existing subscribers.

Our order process is conducted by our online payment provider Stripe. Stripe acts as Merchant of Record for our orders and handles billing enquiries, invoicing, tax and returns on our behalf.

Payment, billing, currency, tax, invoicing, subscription renewal, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Stripe's terms for end customers, which apply in addition to these terms. Memberships renew automatically at the published price until cancelled; you may cancel at any time and retain access until the end of the paid period. Individual programme fees are one-off payments granting 12 months' access to that programme. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

You agree to use Mai Studies only for lawful learning purposes. You must not:

• share login credentials or allow another person to complete assessments for you;
• copy, download in bulk, scrape, record, re-publish or redistribute course content;
• use the platform or its content to build a competing course, dataset or training resource;
• reverse engineer the platform, probe its security, or attempt unauthorised access;
• falsify, alter or misrepresent a Mai Studies certificate, student number or progress record;
• upload unlawful, infringing, malicious or harmful material.

All intellectual property rights in Mai Studies are owned by or licensed to Super Digital Solutions Limited. This includes the software, interfaces, designs, branding, logos, course curricula, lesson text, readings, classroom transcripts, practical activities, assignment briefs, rubrics, assessment items and answer keys, databases and compilations.

Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to access course content for your own personal or internal professional learning. No ownership rights are transferred to you and all rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Your own notes and assignment submissions remain yours. You grant us a licence to store and process them to operate the platform, mark your work and issue completion evidence.

Mai Studies publishes original content, or content we hold documented licences for. We do not publish copied third-party material, unauthorised recordings, or partner names and branding without written permission. Every published programme has a recorded rights entry and content version history.

If you believe content on Mai Studies infringes your rights, follow the notice procedure in our Intellectual Property Policy.

Certificates are issued only when all published requirements for a programme are met: completion of published lessons, submission of required assignments, and achievement of the pass mark on assessed module checkpoints. Attempt limits apply where stated.

Each certificate carries a verification identifier so a third party can confirm it is genuine. We may withhold, suspend or revoke a certificate where we find impersonation, plagiarism, collusion, automated answering or other breach of academic integrity, and we may close the account.

Mai Studies programmes are not accredited by an external awarding body and do not confer a regulated qualification, university credit or professional licence. Where a programme maps to CPD hours, the hours stated are our own estimate of learning time; it is your responsibility to confirm acceptance with your professional body.

Mai Studies includes AI-assisted features, including the course adviser chat and text-to-speech narration of lessons, delivered through the Lovable AI Gateway. These outputs are advisory only, may contain errors, and must not be relied on as professional, legal, financial, security or medical advice. Course content itself is authored and reviewed by Mai Studies.

AI-assisted surfaces are labelled at the point of interaction. You must not suppress or obscure those labels, scrape AI surfaces, or use outputs, prompts or telemetry to train, fine-tune, benchmark or distil any machine-learning model.

We aim to keep the platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, improve, re-version or withdraw programmes and features. Where a programme you are enrolled on is withdrawn, we will give reasonable notice and a period to complete it where practical.

You may close your account at any time from the learner portal. We may suspend or terminate access immediately for breach of these terms. Where access is terminated for breach, any refund of prepaid amounts is considered in line with our Refund Policy and Stripe's refund handling.

If we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, misused the platform, infringed our rights or caused or threatened harm to the service, its content, systems or users, we may take any action we reasonably consider necessary. That may include suspension or termination of access, account restrictions, removal of content, blocking of devices or IP addresses, takedown demands, preservation of evidence, and refusal of future access.

We may also pursue legal remedies including injunctive relief, damages, recovery of losses and legal costs, and may report matters to hosting providers, sponsoring organisations, regulators, professional bodies, employers or law enforcement where appropriate.

Mai Studies provides educational material and tools. Responsibility for applying what you learn — including any technical, security, data or business decision — remains with you and your organisation. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from or in connection with the service is limited to the fees you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100 where no fees were paid.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

These terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, including non-contractual claims, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may bring proceedings in any jurisdiction to protect our intellectual property or restrain unauthorised use of the platform.
